With students now settled into their classes, we’re well and truly into the swing of things at Promenade. Performance work is underway, students are rebuilding their technique and strength, and the little ones are enjoying discovering movement, music and creativity. Term 1 concludes on Thursday 1st April for Easter holidays.

Come along and view our studios, as well as meet our teachers! All are welcome! Open day will be held on Saturday 23rd Jan from 10.00am - 2.30pm.

We hope you all had a wonderful (and relaxing!) Christmas and New Year. Promenade will re-commence classes for 2010 on SATURDAY 30th JANUARY. The new timetable for 2010 has been uploaded, so go to the ‘timetable’ section to see what classes we have on offer.

Our end of year concert is only 10 days away, and all the students are putting together the final touches for our 2009 show!! “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” will be held on the 21st and 22nd of November at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre. We look forward to entertaining you!

Once again, Promenade has been invited to perform at the ‘Dancing in the Street’ festival at Southbank parklands on Saturday evening, 8th August. Our shows are on at 6pm and 8.50pm on stage 1 - so come along and enjoy the night!

With the RAD Grade Ballet exams completed, and the ballet Major and Glenn Wood Tap exams shortly around the corner, we are busily preparing for the end of year concert. Our concert will be held at Redcliffe Entertainment Centre on the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of November, and is always so much fun!

Well, we’ve just finished 2 solid weekends of eisteddfods at the Sunshine Coast. It was hard work, but the students performed exceptionally well, and brought home many awards, ribbons and trophies!

Well done Promenade!! We look forward to raising the bar at the Brisbane ‘Arts in Focus’ eisteddfod in 2 weeks.

Promenade is well into the swing of things now! We’re busily preparing for the eisteddfod season, RAD ballet exams and Glenn Wood tap exams. And to think… only 6 weeks left of term!

The new year is here, and the 2009 dancing year will commence at Promenade on Saturday, the 31st January. Open Day will be held on Friday 30th January from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

We’re back from the US, and what an AMAZING trip it was! We danced at Disneyland, California Adventure Park and the Staples Centre. We took lots and lots of fantastic masterclasses in both LA and New York with brilliant choreographers and teachers (not to mention the mega talented professionals who took the classes!). We saw as many musicals and shows as our time allowed - Hairspray, Wicked, Mary Poppins, Avenue Q, Chicago… but to name a few! And we even saw some SNOW!! All in all, it was a great experience that I’m certain we will never forget xx
